Protruding eyes + thin skin I previously had surgery with a semi-out fold, so I want a semi-out fold again. I had both my first surgery and revision at the same clinic, and both were done because the folds came undone, so for this third surgery I want to do it somewhere else and went around for consultations. I had consultations at about 3 places.
1. Director ㄱㅎㅅ at ㄸㅋ Maybe because it was the weekend, I waited about 2 hours. The director seemed very busy. They tried about 5 lines for me, but it felt like it all passed by very quickly. They said my current eye line is high, so the line needs to be lowered. They recommended an upper canthoplasty, but I didn’t hear why they recommended it. I said I wanted a high line, and they said if I did that, my eyes would become sausage eyes, then wrote “wants sausage eyes” on the chart. After the director consultation, when I consulted with the manager, ptosis correction that had not been mentioned was added. I was recommended lowering the line, incision method (non-incision possible if desired) + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty.
2. Director ㄱㄷㅎ at ㅇㅇㄷ Waited about 10 minutes. Very kind. The director consultation alone took almost 30 minutes. They explained what my eyes are like and the problems with my eyes in detail, explained all the theoretical parts too, and explained why the surgery would be done. I was recommended lowering the line, partial incision + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty.
3. Director ㄷㅇㄹ at ㅇㅁㄹ There were many posts saying they were unfriendly, but it was better than I expected. I waited about 1 hour. The director did seem like a very straightforward type. Even though it’s a third surgery, they said non-incision was possible and recommended non-incision. Instead, they said they would increase the number of fixation points and make it dense so it won’t come undone. They tried the line about 4 times per eye, and I liked the line. They also asked what line I wanted, and while creating the line, kept adjusting it and asking how the line height was. They said they would make it look natural and defined. Since they didn’t even mention upper canthoplasty or ptosis correction, I think they aren’t recommending them. I was recommended slightly lowering the line and non-incision.
These are the consultations I got, but I’m worried because unlike the other clinics, ㅇㅁㄹ didn’t recommend upper canthoplasty or ptosis correction, so I wonder if it’s okay not to do them... Still, I liked the line they made for me, so I’m torn Since ㅇㅁㄹ is only doing double-eyelid surgery, it was almost over 1 million won cheaper... Everyone, which clinic do you think you’d choose for surgery..?
