This is clinic-visit info, but I wanted to get more detailed reviews from everyone here, so I’m posting.. Surgery timing - November 2023. I had double-eyelid surgery with the buried-suture method, but the sausage line is so obvious to anyone, and even if all the swelling goes down, the line is much higher than I had imagined, so I want an early revision and am looking into clinics..

These are the four places I looked into first, but the place where I had my first surgery kept saying things like I absolutely had to wait and that it was a line that suited me well, so I became certain I could never get revision surgery there and looked into new clinics. Since it’s revision surgery, I looked for private clinics + clinics specialized in revision surgery. How did I know they were specialized? Of course I searched for days and days.. When I looked at reviews, these were also places where the proportion of revision-surgery reviews was higher than first-surgery reviews. My friends kept scaring me, saying if I get an early revision, the chance of failure is higher and that I should wait a bit, but I had no confidence living with these eyes any longer, so I went around for consultations. Everyone might say I’m overreacting.. Anyway, if there are people like me looking into early revision, I’m posting so we can share information together.
ㅅㅅ (ㅣㅓㄴ) It’s a one-doctor clinic It wasn’t hard to make an appointment, but the wait was intense But maybe because I went there from the standpoint of looking into revision surgery, the long wait didn’t matter much to me.. I just really wanted to hear what the director had to say quickly. Of course, if I had to wait for several hours or more it would be hard, but it felt like about 25-30 minutes. According to the director, they can release the buried sutures the way I want, but they don’t recommend having surgery right away. The skin on my upper eyelids is already stretched, and they didn’t seem to prefer early revision surgery.. So they said if I’m going to do it, I should watch it for another year, and once the swelling goes down to some extent, if I still dislike it because the line is too high, I can lower it with a two-line excision technique or change the line. The conclusion is that their position is it’s not possible right now.
ㅇㄹ (ㅗㄹㅗ) This is also a one-doctor clinic I booked on a weekday, and there were a lot of people, but maybe the schedule was well organized because I didn’t wait long The director looked at my eyes and immediately said honestly that it wasn’t an easy case.. They told me two methods: releasing the fixed buried sutures, and having revision surgery after 6 months. The director said honestly they recommend revision surgery after 6 months. Since the inner upper line of my eye is lifted right now, if they release the fixation, the eyelid skin may probably become wrinkly and I could end up even more disappointed. They said every surgery has an appropriate timing, and recommended that even if it’s a bit hard to endure, I should watch the progress until 6 months and then have revision surgery. Still, I think this place helped me a lot because they explained the two methods and talked to me about revision surgery.
I had four clinics in mind, but I’ve only been to two so far.. Since both of them didn’t recommend immediate early revision surgery, I feel half troubled and half resigned.. Still, compared with the first clinic, the second clinic said I only need to wait a few more months, so I also feel relieved, but I’m also upset because I have to live with sausage eyes for the next few months. I have mixed feelings
