Hoohoohoo hi guys It’s really been a while. It’s almost been a year. Now it’s not the period when the clinic asks me to write a review; I’m posting just to share my experience.
My before photos and 1-3 month photos are in posts I wrote before, so please refer to those.
Oh, and I got a boyfriend too! I was worried before about how I’d explain it, but I don’t know... I thought there was no way he wouldn’t know, but he still doesn’t. He seems too bright and innocent for me to think he’s just pretending not to know ^^
I’ll talk about the pros and cons at 1 year. Since there are so many pros, these are the parts I personally consider advantages. -. My waist looks slimmer. Relatively, my stomach looks less protruding and people’s gaze goes to my breasts, so although I used to work out all the time and live obsessively checking my body in the mirror, now I live managing myself more comfortably. My stress has really decreased, so I’m happy. -. Femininity is enhanced. I had a chic and cold image, and I still do, but because my figure improved enough that my body curves catch the eye first, my image became more emphasized in a feminine way and softened a bit.
Maybe because of that, the popularity I feel from men has really doubled... no, the number of approaches increased 3-4 times. Even before, I thought I was fairly popular and confident... but it doesn’t compare to now. It seems that prominent femininity definitely appeals to men. (It feels different from sex appeal.)
Those two things were quite big merits for me. They all seem connected to self-esteem in a way. Everyone knows the other pros.
The cons are -. Loss of sensation The sensation in my right nipple that I wrote about at 3 months is still the same now. I expected even a little more would come back, but I realized it won’t. I think if there’s barely any sensation right after surgery, it doesn’t really come back much. Even if severed nerves regenerate, how much can they really regenerate?
One of my erogenous zones was my nipples, so even though my boyfriend tries hard, I can’t feel it, which is such a shame... I thought I’d be single forever sigh As an alternative, I chose to watch the sight of it. Since touch is dead, I’m replacing it with vision. But because my breasts are big and even I think they’re sexy, that alone makes me hor... haha
-. Rippling When I use my chest muscles, it shows slightly only on the right breast. Hmm, it’s something I can avoid by not doing chest exercises or not putting strength into the chest area, so it doesn’t bother me too much, but I like working out, and having to train hard while excluding only the chest is kind of... disappointing because of balance.
Oh, and this downside can be covered if you gain some weight. When I gained 4 kg, it didn’t show even when I flexed my chest.
-. Scars People say if you manage them well they can look almost invisible, but no. I think this depends more on an individual’s skin tendency than on management, and ointments are closer to supplementary measures that block environments that could make scars worse than they originally would be. So I hope you don’t expect them to heal cleanly.
Because I originally wasn’t lacking tissue, once the swelling went down, they sagged, so it’s okay because they don’t look unnatural, but when I shower or apply moisturizer, I see them every day myself. I can’t help being bothered They are subtly fading. Just like scars from 1 year ago and 10 years ago are different, time will solve it to some extent. But if you didn’t have original breast tissue, there probably won’t be much sagging, and then if you use an inframammary fold incision, everything will be visible.. keep that in mind.
That doesn’t mean I recommend the transaxillary approach. With the axillary incision, they have to dissect up to the shoulder muscles, so if you exercise consistently or have a job where you use your arms quite a lot, unintended side effects around the shoulder could occur, and axillary scars also depend on your skin tendency... so I can’t say which is better.
So far, I haven’t felt anything major besides about this much. Things like needing to check with ultrasound during health checkups, and since they aren’t my original breasts, possible side effects I may need to keep in mind someday, and revision surgery....
Since about a year has passed, I think the big worry about capsular contracture has eased.
Anyway, I’m satisfied now, and just the fact that it freed me from the obsession I had been struggling with was worth enough.
It’s not because of the bigger breasts themselves, but because of them my self-esteem rose and I became more relaxed, so I also met a good person.
If you ask whether I’d do it again, for now I’d do it without hesitation. That was my case. If I can come back in year 2 or year 3, I’ll come back again. I hope this post helps even a little:) Let’s be happy, guys♡
