It’s almost been 1 year since my current nose surgery! Silicone nasal bridge / septal cartilage nasal tip I don’t know whether they built a septal cartilage support strut for the nasal tip or extended it. During my first surgery, I stupidly just kept saying yes and left it up to the director… It was a large hospital, so the director who did my first surgery moved to another hospital, and my 담당 director changed to someone else.
I requested aftercare for nasal tip drooping. After seeing that it had drooped, they immediately said they would do aftercare. They said to only add autologous ear cartilage to the nasal tip. I felt relieved hearing they would do aftercare, so I just immediately booked the revision surgery and went home.
On the way home, I started getting more and more anxious, and the questions I hadn’t asked came to mind one by one, so I called the consultant.
(I heard ear cartilage tends to droop later… Not everyone does, but it could droop for me) I said I was worried the ear cartilage might droop and that I wanted this to be my last surgery, so I asked if we couldn’t just use autologous costal cartilage. They said they don’t recommend autologous costal cartilage because it leaves a scar. They said donated costal cartilage is also used a lot these days, and if using costal cartilage, they would rather recommend donated costal cartilage. But they said since my forehead is low, it would probably be better not to use costal cartilage in the first place. They said the nasal tip would become too high compared with my forehead.
They said since the director said he would raise it as much as possible with ear cartilage, they recommend using ear cartilage, and that it would be better to go with the ear cartilage that had been decided on.
Since the consultant said it like that again… it sounded right… so I said okay
Recently I watched a YouTube video about ear cartilage drooping. It said that if drooping happens when 10 of ear cartilage is inserted, not all of the inserted 10 droops, and some will remain, so you don’t need to worry, “Won’t it get absorbed and go back to my original nose?” I did watch a video saying that…
I wanted a slightly sophisticated and glamorous nose, but my current nose just feels ordinary and more on the cute side.
Everyone, if it were you, would you use only ear cartilage as the director and consultant recommend? Everyone who has used ear cartilage for the nasal tip… how is your nasal tip now? Thank you so much for reading this long post.
