I naturally didn’t have double eyelids, so people often told me I looked as if I was straining my eyes T_T I was often told I looked scary even when doing nothing or that my impression seemed strong, and it gradually started bothering me too, so I eventually looked into surgery. I searched through countless café and app reviews, and among them, the reviews of Dr. Moon Ye-seul at Wannabe Plastic Surgery looked good. There were many cases with eye lines similar to what I wanted, so I went for a consultation. I thought I only needed double-eyelid surgery, but Dr. Moon said that because my upper eyelids were fairly thick, doing only double-eyelid surgery could make my eyebrows look lower and my eyes feel more stuffy. She explained that if I was only going to have double-eyelid surgery, it would be better not to do it, and that combining it with an endoscopic forehead lift would make my eyes look much clearer and larger. I liked that she wasn’t pushing unnecessary procedures and realistically told me when something wasn’t suitable, so I scheduled surgery on the day of the consultation. The surgery was performed under sedation, and it really didn’t hurt as much as I expected lol. There was almost no pain afterward either, to the point that I wondered whether I was just suited to surgery. The swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, but my impression looks much softer than before and my eyes seem clearer, so I’m satisfied so far. I’m usually timid and even feel burdened about going to consultations, but they explained things more comfortably than I expected, and the cost didn’t feel too overwhelming, so I wonder why I agonized over it for so long haha.
