Exactly three years ago, I had my first double-eyelid surgery, but over time the fold on my left eye loosened After much deliberation, I started looking for a place for revision surgery. Other clinics said that because my eyes had already been operated on, I would definitely need an incision and should be prepared for scarring. The cost was also higher than expected.. I was so afraid of an incisional scar that I looked for somewhere offering non-incisional revision surgery and met Dr. Bae at [Clinic A]! After turning my eyelids inside out to examine them, the doctor told me firmly that I still had enough skin and that the line could be lifted non-incisionally by tying it securely again without making another incision. Instead, I also had eye-shape correction and dual canthoplasty (lateral and lower canthoplasty) to correct the blurry-looking eyes and open up the tight outer corners 🥹 For about a week after surgery, my lower eyelids felt tight and there was slight conjunctival swelling after the dual canthoplasty, and the heavy pulling sensation from the eye-shape correction lasted for several days 😭😭😭 When I went back to have the canthoplasty stitches removed, the doctor checked my progress and reassured me that the conjunctival swelling and tightness would completely subside over time After the stitches were removed, the pulling around my eyes improved.... (Such a relief) 😭😭 As I entered the second month, all the swelling went down and the result settled perfectly! What I’m most satisfied with is that even though this was revision surgery, it was done non-incisionally, so there isn’t even the slightest incisional scar when I close my eyes The loosened fold on my left eye was lifted firmly and made perfectly symmetrical with the right 😚😚😚 The lateral and lower canthoplasty gently lowered the outer corners without any excessive squared bending or eversion of the red conjunctival tissue, completely opening up my previously stuffy-looking expression!! Thanks to the eye-shape correction, I also stopped the habit of raising my eyes using my forehead like before, lol. The change is natural and not obvious overall, so people meeting me for the first time say they would never know I had surgery unless I told them 😎 If you’re considering revision surgery, you might want to consider [Clinic A] like I did 😍❣️❣️
