It has been almost 10 years since my surgery. I had a hump nose correction + silicone implant + ear cartilage at the nasal tip. Now I’m looking into removing even the remaining silicone, so I’m writing this to share some information too. About 1 or 2 years after the surgery, I didn’t like my nasal tip, so at the hospital where I had the surgery, I had only the ear cartilage in the nasal tip removed through an open approach. At that time, they removed it under local anesthesia, and after surgery the bruising became so dark that necrosis was suspected, but it was concluded to be bruising. I went through a really hard time emotionally then.. haha That was around 2014 or 2015, so it has been quite a while since the surgery. Even originally, my nose wasn’t the kind that could easily be pushed up like a pig nose, and even now, likewise, I can’t do a pig nose at all. The nasal tip is still firm and the sensation is a bit reduced, but aesthetically it’s better than before. From the outside it looks fine, and the columella is okay too. Originally, when I smiled, my nasal tip drooped, but that has disappeared. My nostrils are uneven, but they were already deviated and uneven because of rhinitis, so it doesn’t bother me much. Now that hospital has closed, and the director moved to Seoul, so I’ve asked whether aftercare is possible at that hospital. I’m also wondering whether I should just go to a hospital that is good at full removal while I’m at it. Anyway, removing only nasal tip cartilage is possible, so I hope my post helps a bit haha
