A while ago, when I went for a removal consultation at the clinic where I had surgery in the past, the doctor said that over time, silicone definitely undergoes calcification. I was shocked when I heard that. The doctor said they no longer do surgery with silicone or autologous dermis, but back then, why didn’t they explain that because silicone definitely calcifies over time, it absolutely has to be removed eventually? Did they not know at the time, or did they know but wanted to make money? I haven’t had any side effects yet, but if they had told me that I would have to remove it someday, I wouldn’t have had the surgery…
