(My friend is scheduled for surgery.) Revision surgery consultation fee: 50,000 KRW. After examining me thoroughly, he turned me away, saying my mandibular body nerve line had only 1 mm left, so it could not be shaved at all. Only the chin tip was possible, but he told me not to do setback or reduction because it seemed it would make me look like I had a retruded chin. He said square jaw surgery could be done, but told me not to because it would become an overly narrow jaw. He said the chin tip could also be done, but if I did it, my midface was long, so the proportions would be disrupted. - ㄷㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery Director ㅇㄷㅊ. An acquaintance had surgery with him and became celebrity-level. This was the clinic I had the highest expectations for even before the consultation. Other clinics, including the clinic where I originally had surgery, said I couldn’t shave any more, but here they said they could only shave a little, yet could do a long-curve square jaw procedure. I have an asymmetry only I notice, and he caught it right away. I hadn’t been planning on cortical bone shaving, but he said he could do that too. Because I was worried about the nerve line, I asked whether I could just tidy the square jaw angle instead of doing a long-curve procedure, and only do chin tip setback and reduction, but he said that would not look good shape-wise, and clearly said what was not good was not good. But the consultant seems to like money too much? The price is one thing, but she pressured me too much to book that day. In the end, I paid the consultation fee, and no matter how I think about it, the price makes no sense. The overall reviews are also my style. The clinic atmosphere made me feel like there would absolutely be no concern about proxy surgery. It feels like a private clinic, and I don’t think there would ever be ghost surgery. The director dislikes an overly narrow jaw and seems to favor the current trend of an influencer-style face shape. The consultant spoke honestly about the price. There was no pressure to book at all. He said to skip the areas that can’t be done because of the nerve line, and improve only the areas that can be improved. Calm, gentle, and trustworthy. I’m grateful that rather than asking why I would bother doing the parts I’m unhappy with, he understood me and thought together with me about what could be done.
