Eye Surgery Reviews

Softening a fierce impression with lateral and lower canthoplasty

This is my one-month review after dual canthoplasty—lateral canthoplasty plus lower canthoplasty—with Dr. Kim Jae-yoon at Lowell Plastic Surgery. I was concerned that my naturally upturned outer corners made me look somewhat fierce, so I had lateral and lower canthoplasty. During the consultation, I told the doctor that I wanted my eyes to look as horizontally long as possible, and that I wanted rounded eyes with a softer appearance without going overboard. I was worried at first because of the swelling after surgery, but it settled so well over time that I wondered why I had worried, and I am really happy with it! It seems to have settled into exactly the shape I wanted. My eyes look more open horizontally than before, and the stuffy feeling has improved a lot. My upturned eyes look softer, and my overall impression has become much gentler, so I am grateful to Dr. Kim Jae-yoon for easing my concern! People around me say it looks so natural that they would not know I had surgery unless I told them first, which makes me even more satisfied! Everyone dreams of becoming prettier in a way that looks natural, as if you had always looked that way, without making it obvious you had surgery!! He brought out only the strengths of my original eyes without making me look excessively different! I think consultation with the surgeon is also very important. Unlike other hospitals, at Lowell I liked that I could seriously discuss the surgical plan directly with the surgeon I had heard that both surgeons personally see each patient even if it takes a long time, and that was probably what I liked most! They are kind, of course. I would like to recommend Dr. Kim Jae-yoon at Lowell Plastic Surgery to anyone considering dual canthoplasty.
