The things that stressed me most were: 1. A short, upturned nose 2. A dorsal hump 3. A bulbous nose. I couldn't create a columella with contouring, so I had surgery. Looking at it now, it seems most people visit at least 3–4 clinics before deciding, but I only consulted at two and decided. Even so, didn't it turn out really well? A spoonful of sophistication was added to my natural nose, haha.
It may not show in the photos, but my mouth also protruded a little. Once the columella came out normally, my mouth looked less prominent too. It wasn't that my mouth stuck out; my nose had been recessed... I had wondered whether I should get orthodontic treatment, but I'm really glad I had nose surgery first.
After shaving down the hump that protruded like a speed bump in the middle of my nasal bridge, I felt so relieved. I also heard that if you only shave it without osteotomy, it could grow back, but that doesn't seem to apply to me. It is still holding up well. I only uploaded nose photos because I was embarrassed, but it harmonizes with my other features without standing out, so I'm satisfied!
I don't usually tell people I meet after getting my artificial-looking nose that I had surgery, and they don't seem to notice. It's been a while, but I'm writing this because I want to show that noses like mine—short, bulbous, and humped—can also be made into a natural or glamorous style. [Clinic A]
