I am so happy that I no longer have the complex I had about my wide nostrils after alar reduction surgery. I keep thinking, “Why didn’t I do it sooner?” My satisfaction with the surgery is very high. I had an external incision, and I did not have the non-incisional reduction procedure that ties the muscles inside with sutures. I disliked having something inside my face, and when I previously tried non-incisional alar reduction during nose surgery, the sensation around my nose and philtrum remained strange. So this time, while having the external incision, I asked them to remove those sutures as well, and now the sensation is normal again. They said they would not dig around to look for the sutures if they were not visible, so I am not sure exactly what happened, but my sensation has returned and the pulling pain has disappeared, which makes me very happy!
Because it was an external incision, a scar was unavoidable, but it can be covered with makeup and nobody notices unless I mention it. People around me say I look prettier but cannot tell what I had done, and I have even been told that the proportions of my facial features look very ideal, which makes me feel great haha. Anyway, I absolutely do not regret it, and the doctor is very artistic..? and has an excellent aesthetic sense haha. Please suture it so it heals with as little scarring as possible.
