It has been three months since I underwent contracted-nose revision surgery with Dr. Kim Hyun-joo at RU Plastic Surgery. As time passed, much of the swelling went down, and I could visibly see my nasal line and tip gradually settling, which made me feel much more at ease. At my last appointment, the doctor examined me carefully and prescribed the necessary medication in advance, so I felt reassured. The scar has faded considerably compared with the beginning, and there is no area where my skin feels tight or painful. Apart from occasional mild itching, I am recovering well without any particular discomfort. Since it is still only two months post-op, I look forward to seeing it settle more naturally with time :) Reconstruction for the contracted nose was performed entirely with autologous costal cartilage, and the nasal bridge was done using the RU 3D DCF method.
