A dermatology clinic I had been visiting for a very long time, since it was located between Balsan and Ujangsan. After moving to Balsan Station, the facilities became much better, so I was satisfied (shared rooms > all private rooms).
When the female director was there, she provided excellent care, but after she took leave, I was assigned to Director Seong Jaeyong.
I mainly received scaling and soothing moisturizing treatments. Whenever I asked Director Seong Jaeyong what would be good to do to improve my concerns, he said there was nothing. Rather than listening carefully to my situation and consulting me about what I wanted, when I said I was concerned about tiny bumps, the advice was basically just “get scaling,” so I was not very satisfied (I had never even received a prescription for the usual sebum medication). As a result, my chronic excess sebum and tiny-bump unevenness did not improve; they only got better temporarily after treatment and kept recurring. Then I would come here again for scaling. Maybe because of the scaling, my skin seemed more sensitive than before (it became irritated more easily). They did not try to solve my persistent concerns and problems together.
The original price for scaling and moisturizing care was around 100,000 won. But starting several years ago, they gradually raised it to 120,000 and then 150,000 won, and changed the policy so that one session could not be purchased and only multiple-session packages were available. Later, it was apparently changed so that only customers who had received other high-cost procedures, such as laser treatments, could use it. Most recently, I was told that the care program had been discontinued altogether. (The staff member seemed sorry and embarrassed while explaining.)
It was still the clinic I trusted whenever my skin flared up, but their attitude became unpleasantly money-driven and they seemed to want to accept only high-cost-procedure patients, so I do not go there anymore.
