I completely messed up my nose at [Clinic A]. You know that Gangnam Unni meme? They made me look exactly like that. The director said it would look better once the swelling went down, but it was exactly the same even after six months~~ My bridge was too high, making the midface look extremely long, and it looked lumpy too. I even wondered, “What kind of experiment did they perform on my nose?” How could they ruin my nose this badly? What did I do wrong?? I think I cried every day while constantly looking in the mirror.
I finally went to get revision surgery, but ????????????????? The director had quit. Crazy. Looking back, those really were days of unfair misfortune. I couldn’t let my mental health endure not having revision surgery, so I went to [Clinic B], which was famous for good revisions. The director said my bridge was too high for my face and that the silicone implant probably needed to be replaced. My columella was also deviated to the left, so we decided to reposition it correctly. We also decided to correct my crooked nose and dorsal hump.
Honestly, I cried during the consultation;; I was so upset that perhaps the director felt sorry for me and said they would take special care to do my surgery well. On the day of surgery, I could feel how carefully they looked after me while checking the design again.
Even now, thinking about how I got through life after my nose surgery went wrong is horrifying. First of all, the revision seems to have been successful? I’m two weeks post-op, and the director saved my nose. My nostrils are still a little puffy, but shortening the overly long bridge completely removed the Gangnam Unni look. I hope the swelling settles beautifully just like this.
