Eight years ago, the owner of a cafe near my university recommended it to me, so I saved up my part-time job money and got it done. According to the owner, they had had it done about 20 years earlier, it wasn’t painful, and even up to that time eight years ago there were no aftereffects, so they even had their daughter get it too. I trusted that and made a reservation through a personal recommendation/introduction kind of connection. My prescription was originally -6.5 (contact lens vision), so I knew LASIK wouldn’t be possible, and among my family I had the worst eyesight, but they said LASEK could even be done twice (and I also had a little astigmatism). I live in the provinces and went to a university in the provinces too, but for the first time I went to Gangnam in Seoul, set a surgery date, and went through the operation well with my mom with me lol The surprising thing is that it really didn’t hurt. People often say LASEK hurts, but I’ve never regretted it once. I haven’t done any special vision care, but I feel like my eyesight has maybe dropped a little now. Still, not by much, and by feel it seems like maybe around 0.7-0.8 lol I just wrote this because I remembered it after seeing LASEK posts below haha
