Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

My crooked tooth correction journey

I had been worrying about my crooked teeth and misaligned bite for so long that I started treatment a bit late, and now I think, why did I not do it sooner? My jaw joints were not in good shape either. There was no space on the upper arch, so extraction was necessary. I had to extract teeth with exposed roots that were in poor condition. Normally, the extracted teeth are removed symmetrically from the left and right, but because I had to remove different teeth that were not symmetrical, I was told that if the tooth sizes differed, the midline might not align. I extracted two teeth on the upper arch and none on the lower arch. So I did not have huge expectations, but the midline was aligned well and I am very satisfied at this level, lol. Honestly, when I look back at the before-and-after photos now, I cannot believe I used to live like that. I still remember the first day the brackets were put on, and the feeling of freedom when they were removed was unbelievable, lol. Orthodontics has pros and cons, but if you can endure that long stretch of more than two years, the inconvenience and effort are still worth it. From now on, I will not have to cover my mouth when I smile, and my pronunciation feels more precise when I speak? My self-esteem has also quietly gone up, so if you have crooked teeth, definitely get orthodontic treatment!
