[Yangyundol] 1-month review after double jaw surgery

Hello, I decided to have double jaw surgery because I had been stressed since childhood by a protruding jaw + jaw asymmetry. My teeth were also irregular, so every time I got a dental braces consultation, they said I was an orthodontic case that needed surgery. After much deliberation, I consulted at about 3 hospitals and decided to have surgery at Yangyundol. I had 1 year of pre-orthodontic treatment, then went ahead with double jaw surgery, and it has now been one month since the operation. I had less nasal congestion than expected, and the swelling was also relatively mild, so recovery felt easier. In particular, they took such good care of me during the hospital stay that I actually felt more uncomfortable and had a harder time at home after discharge than when I was in the hospital. As the hospital said, the first week after surgery was the hardest, and after that the swelling went down day by day, so I could feel things gradually improving. At one month post-op, almost all of the facial swelling has gone down, so even people around me say they can barely tell I still have swelling. There seems to be a little swelling left below the neck, but I think it will go down with time, so it does not bother me much. My mouth can currently open enough for about two fingers, and my speech is a little slurred, but communication is not a problem at all. After surgery, the protruding jaw and jaw asymmetry improved, so I am satisfied with the result. In particular, as the jaw moved back, people around me said my face looked much smaller. More than anything, I was always so bothered when taking front-facing photos because my jaw looked twisted, but now that the asymmetry has been resolved, I am happy with the surgical result. Since it was such a major surgery, I worried a lot, and the recovery period of about a month was fairly long, but seeing the result makes me think I made the right choice.
