Nose Surgery Reviews

Fixing the nose tip step that was my complex! (1 month post-op)

After nose surgery at another hospital 6 years ago, the shape was mostly fine for the first few years, but at some point my nose bridge started to look sunken every time I looked in the mirror, and the stress was unbearable. T_T At first I thought the skin had suddenly caved in, so I searched the internet and YouTube hard, and then I learned that this was a nose tip step, where a gap forms between the silicone and the nose tip after the nose tip drops. I first searched videos about whether I should get filler, and then I came across the YouTube channel featuring the director of this plastic surgery clinic. I thought they definitely had expertise in nose tip step because they had even written a separate paper on it, so I booked a consultation right away! Since this was a revision surgery, I was worried about the cost too, but even though it was a revision, the price was reasonable. More than anything, I liked that they did not push unnecessary surgery; instead, they only explained the parts that were actually needed, focusing on my complex, the nose tip step, and on things like whether I was considering silicone implant removal for prevention of recurrence later on!! The surgery removed the silicone and used cartilage plus autologous tissue to refill the sunken area, and it was done openly so the step would not happen again in the future. I was worried it might hurt, so I wanted a closed approach, but since my first nose surgery had also been open and they said open would be better this time too, we went with open. I was worried about pain or waking up from anesthesia, but those worries were pointless because the surgery went smoothly under sedation 😊 After surgery, whenever I had questions I could message them on chat, and the staff answered very kindly. My home is far from the hospital, so I thought it would be hard to visit, but even though it was a Sunday holiday, the director came out early in the morning to help remove my stitches, and they also handled swelling management such as swelling laser treatment, so I was very grateful! I also bought and took herbal medicines like Danggui Susan on my own from the pharmacy to help with swelling, and now, one month later, the swelling has gone down a lot, and I am happy that the nose tip step that had been bothering me before has been completely resolved haha. It is a little disappointing that removing the silicone brought me back to my original nose bridge, but(?) it is nice not to have to worry about side effects, and I am so glad the complex is gone! The director seems to pursue natural-looking nose surgery, so I think I would strongly recommend them to people who want a natural result rather than something flashy, or to people like me who have a complex about a nose tip step haha
