Eye Surgery Reviews

Motive review from this community

Before, whenever I took photos, the thing that bothered me most was how my double eyelid line seemed to get buried, but at some point the area under my eyes started showing too, and that made me look even more tired. Even with makeup, my eyes looked heavy, and after hearing a few people say I looked tired even when I was not smiling, I became even more self-conscious. When I went for the consultation, I was only thinking about the upper area, but the director explained that the overall impression is organized by looking at both eyelid drooping and the under-eye area together. Looking at them separately can be ambiguous, but they said if you improve the upper and lower areas together, it will look much more natural. That part really resonated with me. I was worried I would regret only fixing one area, so I had upper blepharoplasty and lower blepharoplasty done together. Right after surgery, there was of course swelling, and for a few days it felt a bit awkward, but it was not nearly as uncomfortable as I had imagined. As time passed, the first thing I noticed was that opening my eyes became easier than before, and as the under-eye area no longer looked sunken and bulging, I looked less tired overall. Since this was not a surgery that creates a brand-new line, it felt less like a dramatic transformation and more like the parts of my original face that looked stuffy were simply cleaned up, which I liked even more. When I went back for a follow-up, they checked everything in detail, which reassured me. Now, every time I look in the mirror, I end up looking at the eye area first for no reason, and it looks much cleaner than before, so I am satisfied.
