I’ll write my one-week update casually!
13-year-old silicone and ear cartilage. For several years, the tip of my nose had been lifting and the cartilage was showing, so it looked unnatural and stressed me out, and this time I had everything removed.
From the day after surgery to about 2-3 days later, I was so swollen that I couldn’t even open my eyes. Like the swollen eyelids of someone beaten to the brink of death in a crime movie. When I went to the clinic to have the nasal packing removed, both the manager and the nurse looked at me and said, “You’ll need to do your compresses diligently...” I really did my compresses diligently, but hearing that made me think my swelling must be pretty severe compared to other people. I had prepared everything in advance that was supposed to help with swelling and bruising, and I worked hard to compress, apply, take, and drink everything, but for me it was pointless...
For reference, this clinic makes you buy supplements after surgery that are supposed to help with swelling. They’re not medicine, just unknown supplements, so I was suspicious, but I felt like I couldn’t say no, so I ended up buying them. I’m also unhappy with the aftercare and how they respond to patients, so selling things like that on top of it makes it even worse.
By around day 4, the swelling around my eyes had gone down, but there was a red bruise on my eyelids, a yellow bruise under my eyes, and a blue bruise near the side of my lips. Even now my face is still colorful with bruises.
And the problematic tip of my nose.. Even right after surgery, the tip visible below the splint was in a severe pig-nose-like state. When the splint came off, I could also see that the tip was very lifted on top of that. The bridge may have become lower, but overall there is almost no height difference because of the swelling..

But what’s even funnier-sadder is... sigh; On the day the splint was removed, they said the head doctor would see me, so they booked the appointment around the doctor’s schedule. When I went to the clinic, the nurse removed the splint and took out the stitches. I sat on the surgery bed in the operating room, looking in a hand mirror while waiting for the doctor. As soon as the doctor opened the door and came in, he looked at my face and burst out laughing. Then he said, “The surgery went well~” and immediately turned around and left. He stayed for about 5 seconds..?
It happened yesterday, and it was absurd and so unpleasant. I trusted them because they said it wouldn’t be lifted more than my original nose, though it might not be as good as a natural nose, but at least now it’s much more lifted than my post-op nose. I know it’s still only one week, so I need to keep watching it, but unlike other reviews, my swelling and bruising are severe, so I can’t help feeling upset and worried. The more I feel that way, the more I’m going to keep walking hard to try to reduce the swelling.
