If the top priority is to have a surgery that is stable and does not have the severe side effects you see posted on this community, that might be fine.. Sorry to say, but I don't think the director has a very good aesthetic sense. And their approach to the surgical area and methodology seems to stay at a purely textbook level, or to put it nicely, even more conservative than textbook; if put less nicely, it feels narrow. What made me feel this was when they kept saying that if the tip of the nose is raised, the nostrils will get smaller, so the tip can't be raised very much. But even as a layperson I know that if you add more cartilage to the alar part to give it more volume, that can compensate. It feels like they just decide on one idea and then only think within that fixed range. On top of that, they said they could do it with only ear cartilage and would not use costal cartilage... But then, while doing so, they showed examples of nostrils opening up after costal cartilage surgery and said costal cartilage should not be used, which was not very convincing. It felt like they were trying to change the patient's mind by only bringing up bad cases from other hospitals rather than the advantages of their own method. There are doctors who make you feel in just five minutes of consultation that they are really good at consulting, but I was frustrated after a 30-minute consultation. Of course, I have had more than 20 consultations, but long consultations do not mean good consultations just because the doctor talks a lot. The consultation style of repeating what they said again and again and showing cases endlessly, not for communication with the patient but to persuade the patient to think the way the director does, was not good. People who have only gone around a few large factory-style hospitals might be surprised by this director's 30-minute to 1-hour consultations and think the consultation style is detailed, but... they just repeat themselves over and over. If I hadn't cut in midway, I think they would have easily filled a full hour. And the quote was expensive too. I’m skeptical about whether a hospital like this, which aims for safety and is a pricey one-doctor clinic, is necessarily a place with great skill. Of course, I haven't had surgery, so I can't say for sure. The before-and-after photos also didn't show much change. There are hospitals that do things safely, effectively, and beautifully. I got the strong impression that the director sets the range of what they can or are willing to do, and only consults in a textbook way within that range, while taking an exclusive attitude toward anything outside it, so I have no plans for surgery.
