Because there was a consultation fee, the consultation was quite long. The director logically explained my current nose condition and its limits using a CT scan and a model. But when I asked about safety after he suggested a somewhat overly ambitious surgical method, he answered rather ambiguously. Still, he said that in terms of “shape,” this method was the best, and I felt it was very risky. Also, at the beginning of the consultation, he seemed to assume I would be ignorant about noses, and when I asked about more detailed surgical methods, he gave vague answers. For example, I asked whether he would use ear cartilage for septal extension or use it as a columellar strut, and he said something absurd like, “It is extension, but not extension, it’s something that gives the effect of extension.” He said it exactly like that, word for word ....; During the consultation with the director, I was leaning toward not getting surgery here. Later, when I consulted with the administrator about the cost, she asked if I would write a review, then muttered to herself while scribbling on paper things like the original price, review discount price, same-day booking price, and so on, and gave me the estimate. It seemed like they were gauging the patient’s style and then the administrator was deciding at her discretion. Since I had no intention of getting surgery here, I just listened thinking, well, okay.. It felt very commercial. But the administrator kept stressing safety, safety, that they were a safe hospital. But then I wondered why they don’t store CCTV footage. In any case, the irony was that the more they emphasized it, the less trustworthy they felt on safety.
