First of all, I hadn't had a consultation yet, I only made a reservation. The consultation fee for double eyelid surgery is 33,000 won. I saw on the blog that it was 10,000 won until last year. When I called to ask again, they said the price had gone up; I asked how long the consultation would take, and they said the director would see me for about 30 minutes.. There was no notice about this part, and the consultation fee seemed way too expensive, so I canceled. When I went to consult elsewhere, they told me my eyes only needed incisional surgery, so honestly paying 30,000 won just for a consultation didn't seem necessary either. Even in Gangnam they don't charge that much, or rather, most places don't charge at all, so it's a little strange. They did say the consultation fee would be deducted if I went ahead with surgery, but I think you should see it as kind of a small reservation deposit. I think the hospital would be better off removing the consultation fee and instead taking a higher reservation deposit. Honestly, this is the first time I've heard of a consultation fee in the 30,000-won range for eye surgery. I made up the quote amount just to write the post.
