The doctor kept chewing gum the whole time during the surgery; haha They did local anesthesia around my eyes while I was under sedation, and when I woke up the surgery was already underway. They kept having me sit up and lie down while doing the eye correction, and it pulled so hard. I thought maybe I was just someone who tolerates pain well, but I regret not saying something then. And because the procedure went on for more than 3 hours, the anesthesia wore off in the middle and it hurt so much. So they gave me another local anesthetic, and that hurt a lot too.. It was the last appointment of the day, so instead of letting me rest in the recovery room, they explained the precautions and seemed to want to send me out quickly because everyone had to get off work. I got on the bus feeling nauseous, my eyes hurt a lot, and since it was midsummer I was annoyed from the heat too. After that I went back for stitch removal and followed up about 5 times, and the aftercare was good. They gave me laser and injections, checked my eyes, and even though it has been years since the surgery, it shows a lot and looks sausage-like, so I regret having it done.
