Waiting time: I arrived at 7 p.m. because of getting off work, so there was none at all (when I arrived at the hospital, I was the only person waiting). Chief coordinator consultation 30 min + doctor came in and spent 15 min + chief coordinator consultation 25 min I spent a full hour just on the consultation I always saw initials saying this was a hospital that does facial contouring well, and since they also had late-night consultations on Fridays, I made the effort to go. To be honest, there weren’t many reviews, so I was half skeptical, and actually I had already decided on another hospital I liked from my visits, but after the consultation here, I changed my mind (I’m really not a broker;) Maybe because I came late, the counter staff weren’t very friendly, but the consultation coordinator explained things while even drawing diagrams for me. I’d heard from the previous hospital too, “Your cheekbones aren’t actually that large, but your jaw is so small/slender that your cheekbones look bigger.” I also heard that the left and right cheekbones are asymmetrical. Here they divide cheekbone surgery into four types, and they explained each surgery method and price one by one. They explained it unbelievably well. (The consultation alone took an hour, seriously) <Price includes all VAT + aftercare> / Medication is self-pay only 1) Quick cheekbone, non-fixation 968,000 won 2) Quick cheekbone, fixation 1.298 million won 3) J cheekbone 2.75 million won (fixation) 4) 4D cheekbone 3.85 million won (fixation) People say J cheekbone is divided from 4D cheekbone and ask whether J cheekbone is basically ineffective, but absolutely not. The difference is whether they cut the bone in an L-shape further or not. Of course 4D is the maximum amount of bone reduction, so if you want a completely doll-like face, you can do 4D, but looking at my CT, J cheekbone alone would already be enough to see results. According to the coordinator, people who regret cheekbone surgery either 1) are still satisfied now but wish they had shaved the bone more, or 2) wish they had done it sooner. Another thing I liked was that they said there are no app-review discount events, so the prices are fixed. Hospitals seem ridiculously obsessed with reviews, offering discounts if you write one, or posting ad prices in the app events, but then when you actually visit, the price is different, right? (It goes up a lot.) I had budgeted 3.5 million, and I felt the price was very competitive. Both J cheekbone and 4D cheekbone require sideburn and intraoral sutures; the sideburn sutures are removed after 7 days, and the intraoral ones after 2 weeks. Aftercare consists of a swelling injection on the day of surgery and a high-frequency laser? And if time allows, they said it’s fine to keep receiving it every day. However, J cheekbone uses sedation anesthesia, while 4D cheekbone uses general anesthesia. The reason for sedation anesthesia is that when the patient wakes up, it is less difficult for them (and there’s no airway intubation), so it’s more comfortable for both the doctor and the patient? I don’t have enough professional knowledge to ask further. And I think they said the bleeding is less than with 4D, which is why. 4D involves shaving more bone, so it requires general anesthesia. Also, during the consultation with the director, I felt that... when I went to a large hospital on a busy weekend, the director spoke super fast like he was rapping, said only what he needed to say, and as soon as I left the consultation room I saw him call the coordinator on the phone to tell her to bring in the next patient? That gave me a bit of a factory vibe personally.... But here the director felt very human, and told me honestly that 4D would be better because it’s more expensive (from his point of view) lol, but looking at my bones, I didn’t really need 4D, and that cheekbone surgery would also improve the asymmetry on both sides. The coordinator also explained all the possible side effects of cheekbone surgery one by one, even though she knew them all (swelling, nerve not returning, step-off, pin removal, etc.). Oh, and today I learned that if you can feel a step-off, that means the cheekbone surgery went well. And I asked about the drain, but they said J cheekbone doesn’t use it? Hmm, that part is a bit questionable to me too (if you shave bone, isn’t a drain essential?) Still, recovery seems faster than at other hospitals... but it doesn’t seem like they cut less like quick cheekbone does... Anyway, I really liked the consultation, and I’m going to visit three more hospitals tomorrow, but if there are no issues I think I’ll do it here. Things I liked 1 No stupid discount event if you write a review (fixed pricing) 2 The director has a humane personality, doesn’t just say what needs to be said and leave, and actually feels your face while examining it (I think whether they touch your face or not is important) 3 They show before-and-after photos well (photos with other patients’ faces covered, and other patients’ bone images) After going to only awful hospitals, coming to a one-doctor hospital when they had time and getting a real consultation made me feel so good that I went home genuinely happy. +Also, the coordinator was really honest, and what made me trust the hospital itself was that I was originally against quick cheekbone surgery, and I already knew quick cheekbone wouldn’t do anything for my face, so I had no intention of doing it. When I said that, the coordinator said, “If I had recommended quick cheekbone to you, you would have grabbed me by the collar,” lolllllllll
