Among several nose surgeries, I had my third revision here with rib cartilage. Since my previous surgeries had also used autologous rib cartilage, my nose must already have been quite damaged, but I had another revision with rib cartilage here. My original nose was very crooked and I couldn't breathe well through one nostril, but after the surgery at O&Young it didn't improve much. The crooked nose was somewhat corrected, though. But the rib cartilage itself was so hard that my nose couldn't move at all, and if it bumped into something it felt like it would break. Living with this nose was truly miserable. In the end, two years later I had everything removed at another hospital and had my fourth revision with autologous dermis and ear cartilage. It's been about 8 years since that revision now, and I can breathe well, do the pig-nose trick well, and I'm living very happily. Anyway, for anything else I don't know, but never use rib cartilage in the nose. You will definitely need revision surgery.
