I had double eyelid incision surgery and struggled with a foreign-body sensation in my eyes for 3 years. For about 2 years after the surgery, I slept with my eyes open, so it became a habit to carry sunglasses around on long trips. Of course it looks much better aesthetically than not having it done, but the asymmetry on both sides is severe, so I'm currently looking into revision surgery
