I originally had a thin inner double eyelid. If you looked closely you could see it, but from a distance my eyes looked small and it seemed like I didn't have a double eyelid at all, so about 5 years ago I went in somewhere, had a consultation, and got surgery right away at Jelim Plastic Surgery. The staff were kind and the facilities were pretty good. They took before-and-after photos too.. I don't remember the exact cost, but it wasn't cheap. The thing is... I brought a photo of someone with beautiful inner double eyelids and said, "Please give me eyes that are this long and clear, but make the double eyelid not too unnatural." After the immediate post-op swelling went down, when about 5 months had passed.. there was absolutely no sign that I had surgery.. none at all.. It hurt, and they removed the stitches, but I honestly don't know why there was no visible change..... People I told about the surgery later would run into me and say, 'But didn't you say you had double eyelid surgery???' and people who didn't know about it couldn't even tell what had changed ... I was disappointed because I only spent money and time and there was no change at all.
