I took a side-profile photo of myself in the Soda app and asked them to use something like touch-up correction to show how they would do the surgery, but they very quickly and firmly said no, so I guess the shape after surgery doesn’t always turn out as planned And when they explained the surgical design, they kept saying it in a really vague way~ Maybe because it isn’t something that can be predicted exactly, so they couldn’t be certain. If I were the doctor, I’d probably draw it on an iPad. So I asked whether that meant I had to leave the shape of the back of my head entirely in the doctor’s hands, and they said yes. But that’s what Dr. Bone said too, and at least here, they take a photo of my skull with a Canon-like camera at the start of the consultation and design while looking at it, so that part was nice It feels like a game where you shove in cement, mess around with it, and if the design turns out well you’re lucky; if not, there’s nothing you can do That said, all the after photos the director showed me did fit my aesthetic standards for skull shape They also explained the surgical limitations realistically and honestly said I might not even need to do it. Still, I’m grateful they listened to me and understood me
