I went to have an old permanent filler removed, but they told me a granuloma had formed there and that I should not do anything. They said that vigorous facial massage could also make the granuloma grow, and that filler procedures or other surgeries in different areas could also make the granuloma worse. They said that after permanent filler procedures, the lump could get bigger starting 15 years later, so we should just keep an eye on it. They also explained that during COVID there were cases where people who had filler injections developed granulomas as a vaccine side effect, and that even if injections and fillers are immunologically processed, immune reactions like granulomas can still happen. The consultant kept opening the door the wrong way, blocking me from leaving, or saying random things, which was frustrating. When I said I’d get autologous dermis surgery after removing the old filler or granuloma, she seemed startled and said this is a place that removes volume, not adds it, which just confused me more. I clearly said I came here to have it removed, so I don’t know why they thought that.. Anyway, the director told me not to do anything, so I don’t think I’ll go back. The consultation fee was 40,000 won.
