Patient review of Wijeuaenmi (위즈앤미) · 2026-02-21

I consulted through an event on Gangnam Unni (thighs, 1.29 million won). During chat, they said the upper-thigh/lower-butt area was 1.39 million won, and the Chanel line was an additional 400,000 won. (VAT and anesthesia fee included / only the compression garment was separate) They said if I had surgery within two days, they’d give a 100,000 won discount. Before I start, I’m from Daegu. The hospital where I had surgery is in Seoul. Wiznme: compression garment separate, VAT and anesthesia included, upper-thigh/lower-butt + Chanel 1.59 million (200,000 prepaid, 1.39 million on the day) Aftercare: 5 radiofrequency sessions + 1 Lipoderm session (at 2-week intervals), scar laser possible starting 6 months later 10/29 consultation I consulted with someone who was the consultation manager? They didn’t particularly push any add-ons. There was no extra charge either. I’m a college student, and the earliest available surgery date was the very next day, so I asked if that was possible, and they said it was possible because someone had just canceled their surgery. It seemed like total bullshit, but I just said, “Oh, okay~ sure~” and paid the 200,000 won deposit. 10/30 surgery On the day of surgery, while I was consulting, a patient was shouting at the desk and fighting with the consultation managers while crying. I felt uneasy and tried to go look outside, but they wouldn’t let me. (That’s where I started to get suspicious) Consent form - general manager / design - chief director After I got the consent form, I asked the consultation manager who the person who got my consent was, and they said it wasn’t a doctor but the general manager (seemed like not even a nurse). Incision sites - 2 in front, 2 under the buttocks (they said it was dissolvable thread) 11/3 Both inner thighs bulged out (from this point, fluid started collecting) 11/7 I called several times because of the fluid buildup (I think around 5 times), but no one picked up, so I sent photos and symptoms by text. Spoke with the consultation manager (said they would relay it to the director, said I needed to see the director as soon as possible, said this can happen if too much was taken and it would have to be drained with a needle, said because of pain and warmth there could be a possible infection so I needed to be seen quickly, appointment made for 11/10) 11/10 12:30 After the fluid was drained from both inner thighs with a needle, they pressed the area with bandages. 3 butt injections, 1 IV shot, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers prescribed for 5 days. The general manager (not a doctor) treated my left leg, and a nurse treated my right leg. The director (doctor) did not see me. We agreed to check the progress again a week later. 11/12 The same area filled with fluid again, so I called, but there was no response (did I call about 3 times then?) After a few hours they called back. We agreed I’d visit the next day. 11/13 The vice director (doctor) drained it (not the doctor who performed the surgery. Who even are you?) 60 cc from the left, 40 cc from the right. They did radiofrequency(?) capsulitis once and wrapped it in bandages. 5 more days of antibiotics prescribed. Sutures could not be removed. 11/15 Sutures removed and 5 more days of antibiotics prescribed. 12/3 Received aftercare for the first and last time (a leave-of-absence student from the nursing department did it) After that, I just stopped going * They said the thread was dissolvable, but it wasn’t. The thread stuck out hard, got suppurated, and caused inflammation, so I went to a local dermatology clinic and was told it wasn’t dissolvable thread. So I had it removed under local anesthesia. (Dec 16, Daegu) * Before surgery they were lightning-fast at replying, but after surgery they completely ignored me. When the fluid collected, I called 5 times but they didn’t answer, so I texted photos and they called back 2-3 hours later. When I thought I might not be able to go to aftercare, I called 3 times but they didn’t answer. I got pissed and didn’t go for aftercare. * The most annoying thing is that when the fluid collected, they told me on the phone I’d probably need to be seen by the director, but then some person called the general manager? and a few nurses just looked at it and drained the fluid. I’m wondering whether the general manager is even a medical professional. When I asked the consultation manager, they clearly said they were neither a nurse nor a doctor. How does it make sense for a non-medical person to perform an invasive procedure? * The nurse who helped with injections, disinfection, oxygen, and anesthesia while I was lying on the operating bed seemed Chinese, but was kind. The consultation manager was also kind, but seemed Chinese. * For reference, the antibiotics were also prescribed by the person called the general manager without the doctor even seeing me. * Current status: I’m left with a body full of mistakes. The scars are hardly noticeable at all (because I got scar treatment 5 times at another dermatology clinic in Daegu, and I’m a nurse so I took really good care of it.) * Conclusion: I don’t mind sketchy stuff. Price/performance matters. I don’t care if I don’t get aftercare. Results are luck of the draw, I’ll leave it to fate. I don’t mind if there are a lot of Chinese staff. I’m willing to risk my life for surgery. If that’s you, do it here; if not, please go somewhere else. * Why I chose here: only because of the price. And the reviews I saw on Gangnam Unni seemed to show decent results. Do I regret it? Yes. Very much. If I had known, I would have paid a little more and gone somewhere more professional and safe. Looking back after the fact, I feel like I really gambled with my life.
