I had chin reduction surgery. It was about 6 years ago, and I’m satisfied with the chin line and the length. However, the chin sagging started right after surgery... I’m not exactly sure whether that’s because of the salivary glands... Rather than sagging, I’m a little disappointed that the enlarged salivary glands made my chin into a slight pelican chin. And I also lost about 10-20% of sensation in the nerves, so sometimes food gets on the area under my lip after eating. I have no regrets because after the surgery my chin length was reduced perfectly and my complex about it also lessened. I just want people to know that these kinds of side effects can happen.
