I had surgery here because my underarms sweated too much, but I had complications on both sides. On the left, maybe they touched a nerve, because part of the upper underarm has almost no sensation. When I touch it, it gives me a creepy feeling like I'm touching rubber, not my own skin. On the right, the underarm itself sank in so much that it could probably fit a 500-won coin. I searched online and apparently this is a side effect that can happen when too much tissue is removed during surgery. When I asked about the complications, I was told to get Botox in the area. I woke up from anesthesia in the middle of the surgery, and while they were operating on my underarms, I heard the doctor chatting with the OR nurses, saying, "Where should we go for dinner today? What about Outback?"... I wish they had focused a bit more on the surgery.
