I’ve had severe freckles since I was young, so they were a huge source of stress. Even concealer couldn’t cover them when I did makeup. They weren’t spread over my whole face, but were quite dark from both cheekbones down to around the middle of my cheeks? During the consultation, they wouldn’t say for sure whether it was lentigines or freckles, and they explained a lot of side effects like that it could get darker or might not disappear, which seemed like a formal disclosure, so I just went ahead and got it done. The whole process felt a bit factory-like. The laser itself hurts a lot, and even though I’m usually pretty good at تحملing pain, I kept jumping in surprise. Still, they praised me for being able to endure it well, lol I had it done in the middle of summer, so the heat building up in my face was unbearable, and even with an ice pack on it, my face feeling like it was burning was awful. If you’re going to do it, it seems like a procedure you should definitely do in winter. For about a month? the dark spots turned into scab-like marks, so while I was working, it was hard to keep going to the office. I had it done in early 2024, and after all the scabs fell off, honestly it didn’t disappear completely, just felt much lighter? After that, every time I went out, I was obsessive about sunscreen so it wouldn’t come back, but starting in mid-2025, melasma or freckles started appearing again right under my under-eye aegyo-sal. Now I’m looking into toning lasers.
