About a year after my first nose surgery, my nose became noticeably and severely crooked, so I thought I’d need another surgery and got a revision rhinoplasty.. The first time, the surgery had been done with donor rib cartilage, so for this revision the only option was autologous rib cartilage, and I worried a lot about it But in the consultation, the doctor carefully explained possible side effects, scars, pain, and swelling.. They also explained in detail how the materials would be used during surgery, so I trusted them and lay down to do it.. Honestly, they say they explain how much they cut and where, and all that.. but I liked that they gave me enough time and space to interrupt and ask questions in the middle I heard many hospitals change what they say after surgery, but thankfully here I was able to get skin injections as part of postoperative care, so they said there wouldn’t be any sudden sebum breakouts or messy aftercare. When the splint came off, there was a slight feeling of eye pulling, but as the swelling went down it quickly settled back into place, and there is still a little residual swelling, but the tip of the nose came out with a soft shape, so I’m satisfied with the shape too
