I only had front canthoplasty 5 years ago. It was done under sleep anesthesia, and even when the anesthesia wore off, it wasn’t very painful. It really hurt when the stitches were removed a week later, and because the nurse was busy, she just yanked them out very carelessly. Now one side has white tissue, and both sides have become extremely awkward, shaped like the Korean letter ㄷ. They only cut about half of the Mongolian fold, so it looks even stranger.
