The doctor felt unfriendly during the KakaoTalk consultation, but when I actually went, he greeted me with a smile and was kind. The pre-surgery consultation was long, and I think about 90% of it was about the doctor’s own thoughts and 10% about surgery-related information. But it was still somewhat useful, so I found it interesting to listen to. On the day of surgery for the cheekbones and jaw together, he only operated on one patient, and after the surgery he even accompanied me to recovery and to get my medication, which was reassuring. I’d seen posts worrying that he went out to eat during surgery, but that wasn’t the case, and he managed things well so nothing dangerous happened. It’s been 4 months since the surgery, and my jawline is very clean, and the cheekbone union seems good to me by feel (non-incision cheekbone reduction). But I’ve never had a CT after surgery, so I don’t know for sure. Other than getting temporomandibular joint problems because I didn’t use my jaw muscles for two months after surgery, I didn’t really have any discomfort, so I didn’t get a CT. I think the TMJ issue will improve with stretching, and I’m very glad all the nerves in my jaw and around my mouth are fine. In terms of side effects and naturalness, I’m very satisfied, but there’s no dramatic change. It really feels like my contours were just neatly refined naturally, so even my family wouldn’t know I had surgery unless I told them.. They’d think I only had some kind of procedure. That’s why when I take photos or look at my face, I feel a bit disappointed that it hasn’t changed much compared to before. It might still be residual swelling, but after seeing other people’s before-and-after photos, I don’t think I’ll look much different even after the swelling fully goes down.. If you want naturalness and contour refinement, I recommend it. If you want a dramatic change, think carefully.
