Visited for a consultation about revision surgery for high-line sausage eyes. The previous surgery was full incision + eye correction + canthoplasty. I visited twice with a 3-month gap. At the first consultation, as soon as I went in, put on the headband, and sat down, before I even asked anything, they immediately identified the problems and explained in detail how the surgery should be done. The surgery for revision patients is all the same: re-opening the previous line + eye correction (I only learned this after looking up other people’s reviews. At the first consultation I just said “yes, yes” and left, so I knew it was an incision surgery but didn’t exactly understand whether tissue would be excised or not.) It felt like the consultation was over in 5 minutes. It’s a very famous place, and because they explain everything on their own even without being asked, I trusted them and put them at the top of my list in my mind. The reason I went a second time was because I couldn’t remember the consultation details exactly. As soon as I went in and put on the headband, they told me to ask whatever I was curious about, and when I asked whether they would only do an incision without excision (information I figured out from other people’s reviews), they suddenly asked if I had watched their YouTube channel. When I said I hadn’t, they sighed and explained it again. They said they would follow the existing line, make the fixation weaker, and adjust it that way, and that doing so would lower the line. But since my front line is quite thick, I asked again whether it was possible to make the front lower, and they just explained the same thing again. Since I only kept hearing the same explanation, I still didn’t really understand, and they said it would be fine to do it later. They didn’t show a single before-and-after photo. Isn’t it normal that an ordinary person, not a doctor, would have trouble understanding only an explanation without photo reviews? I thought it would be better if they simply told people at the time of booking to watch the doctor’s YouTube channel first. They said, “You came from far away, don’t you have anything else you want to ask?” I couldn’t think of any questions or anything, and I just felt like I came for nothing. At first, because the consultation was fast and accurate, I really wanted to have the surgery there even though it was expensive, but after the second consultation my mind completely changed.
