I had surgery a month ago without implants. (Using ear cartilage for the columellar support, fascia from behind the ear for the bridge between the eyebrows, and surgery on the nasolabial angle) First, I felt that the doctor was kind. I repeatedly asked similar questions about nostril reduction, and they still answered patiently. Reading the columns they wrote on their blog, I could see their experience and expertise, and that was the same in the consultation. The nurse also seemed to have a lot of medical knowledge and was kind, since she had many years of operating-room assisting experience. (As I understand it, there is no separate consultation manager, and the nurse handles that role as well. That part felt convincing.) However, perhaps because she was busy, there were quite a few times when I called the hospital and she was in surgery... and when I went for follow-up visits, I had to leave in a bit of a rush because of the next patient, without really being able to ask questions. (That said, she is definitely not the kind of person who would scold you for asking. I think it was just my own personality issue ㅜ) Hospital facilities Personally, the interior felt warm and comforting. The operating room was relatively small, but it did not look dirty or anything like that at all. Rather, I liked that it had a distinctive design that felt like the director's philosophy, instead of a standardized hospital look. Surgery expectations I trusted the director's expertise and sense of aesthetics, so I left everything entirely to the doctor without making any special requests. (Still, for anyone getting surgery, I think it's best to clearly state the key points you really want improved.) Overall, I'm mostly satisfied. I do wish the nose were a little more masculine and straight, but my nostrils have shrunk a lot and my impression feels cleaner. It's only been a month, so I believe the residual swelling and the slightly upturned tip will improve with time. Once it settles, I think I'll be even more satisfied. However, the scar from nostril reduction is quite noticeable... (The director did warn me about this in advance and said there would definitely be a scar!) Points I was a bit unhappy about I went in for follow-up checks a total of five times on days 1, 3, 5, 4, and 14. But the nurse handled the stitch removal and disinfection, and the director only came in briefly. (There were days when I didn't even get to see the director.) In my subjective view, it didn't feel like they were checking the progress in a very detailed way. Actually, I didn't make any major special requests to the doctor, so at the final visit on day 14 I was hoping for something like, "It turned out well, just as expected," but there was no comment at all about the appearance, so even though I was personally satisfied, I felt a slight lingering discomfort... It was like, "If it turned out well, shouldn't they say so...?" But maybe that's just their style, and maybe they're just so busy, so I understand. Overall, I'm satisfied!
