After a lower blepharoplasty revision 1.5 years ago that I was swept into, my lower eyelid turning inside out has made daily life unbearably inconvenient. My eyes sting, are bloodshot, itch, and I have been barely getting by every day with eye drops, so I went for a consultation. They recommended a cross-grafting procedure, taking skin from the remaining area above the eye and grafting it to the lower eyelid. The surgery is too big, and I don't even have enough upper eyelid fat to do a revision of the double eyelid, so skin grafting from above the eye seems way too risky. It feels like I would gain one thing and lose many others. It seems like the lower eyelid would be restored well, but I passed because I was afraid of other side effects.
