My alar base is really wide and I hate scars, so I'm the type who doesn't like incisions. When I said so, they advised against internal and external incisions because my nostrils are already small and would become even smaller. They also said non-incisional alar base reduction would keep causing a foreign-body sensation and would only last 1 to 2 years, so they advised against that too, but I'm still thinking about it.
