I had double eyelid surgery here about 5 or 6 years ago, and it was a complete disaster. Even during the consultation, there was not even 1 bit of professionalism. For the double eyelid consultation, they asked whether I would wear heavy makeup or light makeup, and said if light then make it thin, if heavy then make it thick. In my case, I was going from monolids to double eyelids, so I asked them to make the double eyelids thick out of greed, and they set them at 11 mm (I only learned this much later during a reoperation consultation at another hospital). At the time, I wasn't even demanding to make them thick or anything, and when they asked me what I wanted, I naturally thought they would make a thick outer line within an aesthetically pretty standard, so I asked for thick, but they made me a sausage-eye mess without any restraint. They were so irresponsible that, for my first surgery, they even did a full incision and skin excision. If a procedure is necessary, of course it should be done. But then the result should be good. Yet when they were taking progress photos one month after surgery, the result was so tragic that they didn't even take the photos. I don't even know how many years I suffered until I finally got a revision at another hospital. For the record, even among people I know, there is someone who had surgery here, and although their result wasn't as ruined as mine, it was still bad. Curious, right? Why did I still go ahead with surgery when the consultation was such a disaster... At the time I was a student, and the surgery was being supported by my parents, and since my parents said I had to do it here, I had no choice but to go through with it. It was my mistake. The reason I'm writing this is because I hope no one ends up being harmed like me by having surgery with that careless attitude of 'the doctor will know best' without any information. Eyes take up a big part of a person's impression, so please be careful and do enough research before surgery. In the end I went up to Seoul and got a revision at another hospital, and even after revision it still isn't natural, so I just gave up and live with it.
