I had double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty together, and overall I’m fairly satisfied. Rather than looking overly obvious, it just made my original impression a little clearer, so I can go about daily life without feeling burdened. The swelling went down faster than I expected, and the recovery process was smooth. The epicanthoplasty feels natural too, with the eye shape looking just slightly fresher rather than dramatically different. I still need to keep an eye on the remaining swelling and the slight asymmetry, but so far I think the results are generally decent. People around me also say they can’t really tell whether I had surgery, which I like, and I think it’s not a bad choice for people who don’t want a dramatic change.
