I just did it at 20 after following a friend without looking into anything at all, and it wasn’t a total disaster, but it was just so-so.. The scars aren’t too bad, just so-so.. average, but I never got eye correction, so I lived with very tired-looking eyes. Right before surgery I asked them to raise the crease a bit more, and I regret that. It’s not severe, but it’s a little noticeable.. tired-looking.. I lived like that for about eight years, and now I’m going around getting revision consultations, and they’re telling me I probably just need eye correction. The crease itself isn’t bad, but it’s not like it became naturally pretty either. If I went back, there are so many better places, so I’d look elsewhere and do it there.. It’s not dramatic, but it’s just average and not bad. Still, they clearly said no epicanthoplasty was needed and didn’t try to push unnecessary things, so it feels honest and decent. My friends all turned out average too, so it’s not a disaster, but I doubt anyone would say it came out dramatically well either. There are so many places that do natural work well.. If I could go back, I’d go somewhere like that.
