I ended up doing it because people in that area said they were good at it. To put it simply, it’s not the current style. This place is the type that says to keep things moderately natural and just a bit corrected. They absolutely don’t recommend canthoplasty, and it’s not that they say they’ll do anything and everything, but they clearly state the limits and what they can do, so there’s actually no unnecessary fluff. That said, the aesthetic sense feels a bit old-school. The hospital is old, but clean. I liked that. It’s been over 5 years since the surgery, and unless I say something, no one can tell I had it done at all. What I regret is that it was my first surgery, so I was too overwhelmed and couldn’t properly express what I wanted, so the result ended up a little different from my preferred style. It’s not like I can’t look at it, but it is a bit disappointing, yeah.. The doctor’s style was also safety-first, so at the time, when I was actually scared of complications, that was good for me. But after everything settled and my face took its place, there were times I was like, huh? Did I even get anything done? That extreme naturalness can be a little shocking lol. So now I’m going around getting consultations again. Also, a lot of older people in that area or people referred by acquaintances really go there. That much means the skill is genuinely there. I had no side effects at all, and I’m only writing this because I felt regret later. It seems like they did a good job on my first surgery after all.
