There were Southeast Asian people waiting, and after surgery there were Southeast Asian people coming out too. There were even Southeast Asian staff, so that was interesting. The chief manager gave off the typical factory-clinic vibe, like an unprofessional manager. I was assigned to see the director, and after reading the reviews I had high expectations. But he grabbed my eyes, head, eyebrows, and forehead really hard, lifted my eyelids up and down... I was taken aback. It felt like I wasn’t being cared for. I had always been gentle with eye makeup too, because I was told even strong eye makeup can stretch things... Honestly, I felt so weird that I couldn’t even hear the explanation after that. He spoke in a regional accent and talked fast, so it was hard to understand what he was saying. He explained things diligently, so I could understand, but it felt like he was trying too hard to persuade me, which made me uncomfortable. It felt like he assumed I really didn’t want ptosis correction and medial canthoplasty and was trying hard to convince me otherwise. Most of the reviews seemed to be in that direction too, so... I did expect it. He didn’t even ask what kind of eyes I wanted; he just looked at what the chief manager had written down one by one and gave off the feeling of saying that non-incisional surgery wouldn’t work and why didn’t I want a medial canthoplasty. When I said that if I had had something done before, my eyes would originally have been big but had come down, and I said no, they were naturally like this from the beginning, it looked like he had nothing to say. I was thrown off by that part. He kept explaining a lot that ptosis correction is not always about making the eyes look wide open, but... I felt like I should have said, “Have you ever tried it yourself, doctor?” As someone who has had it, until it started loosening up like this, it was almost always a wide-open look, haha... Anyway, because you can’t trust only the doctor’s words before surgery to know whether overcorrection will happen or not, I wanted to avoid ptosis correction if I could. It was an extreme example, but while explaining with an extreme eye shape as an example, it felt like something first-timers would completely take at face value. I’ve been to several clinics, but this place was the least pleasant from start to finish. I thought it was just me, but after looking into it, it seems that in real consultation reviews, many people who tried lifting their eyebrows were told they had little fat above the eyes and a lot at the outer corners, so they were recommended fat repositioning.
