I went to four hospitals to look into revision surgery because of a mistake on the doctor’s side that ruined my eyes, but only here did they say something completely different from the other three places. I had previously done it at a somewhat famous clinic, so maybe that’s why they kept defending the previous doctor, even though it had not turned out the way it was discussed before surgery, and in the early period after surgery they said everything would be fixed the way I wanted, only to keep changing their story later and shifting responsibility with the doctor (they even pushed a ridiculous line like, as if that doctor had planned it that way from the start when performing the surgery lol). But they did not properly answer the things I was actually curious about. I understand it is awkward for them, but I also paid for the consultation, and it was basically useless for helping with any future plan.. I was especially disappointed because I had waited a long time for the appointment. What I thought was truly serious was something else, but when I asked about lagophthalmos, downward-gaze asymmetry, and the resulting dry eyes, they brushed it off and said some people are just born that way. I really.. never expected to hear that from a clinic specializing in revision surgery.. I recommend hiding the clinic name if possible when you go for a consultation. They advised against surgery, so they filled in the estimate and ad price however they wanted. For reference, another clinic also advised against surgery right away. The rest of the opinions were all over the place, but because the conclusion about whether to operate was the same, I’m giving one more star for consultation professionalism.
