I had revision surgery to lower the fold line. At first, when I was getting double eyelids, I also planned to do under-eye fat repositioning and epicanthoplasty, but the doctor said under-eye fat repositioning wouldn’t have much effect and epicanthoplasty could make the scar bigger, so I only went ahead with the double eyelid surgery. My existing double eyelids looked very obviously surgical, so my goal was to change them as naturally as possible, and I liked that they clearly told me not to do the things that weren’t good. The new line after surgery is something I really, really like. I knew that because my skin is thick, the result of double eyelid surgery might not turn out especially well, so I didn’t expect much, but the line turned out much better than I thought and I’m very satisfied. It’s been about 6 months since the surgery now, and I’m going to get scar treatment separately because there is still a scar. They explained from the first consultation that a scar could remain, but it ended up being much more noticeable than I thought, so I’m planning to get laser treatment separately. At IQ Hospital, it seems they consider some scarring after incision revision as the default, so if you are sensitive about scars, I recommend not waiting as long as I did and instead going quickly to a dermatology clinic to start scar treatment. I really like the line itself. It became the kind of eye I always thought was pretty.
