This was also about 5 years ago... I had it done then, and since afterward it hasn't come back or anything, it has held up well. When I consulted the doctor, they said my eyes weren't the type that could be widened much, so I understood. I did ask them to make them even a little wider. They were honest. After surgery, they stitched with transparent thread, so the stitches weren't visible, but I had a slight bruise under my eyes, so it wasn't like I could just go back to daily life right away? I took 3 days off and went to work, but I could feel people looking at me like, what is this? there's no change, what bruising? In the end, yes, they became longer than before, but one eye has a slightly different outer corner shape, so I can't say I'm 100% satisfied... It's not a D shape, and not sharply pointed either, but.... because of that, I don't think a revision surgery is worth it, so I'm just living with it (I know it, nobody else does) When I smile, the end of the outer corner of my eye feels like it caves in, so maybe it's because of the canthoplasty, but what can you do... it's already done. It did make them longer, but unless your eyes are really very narrow, I want to say canthoplasty is not recommended.
